The Draenei, The Monk, And The Wardrobe: Bogslayer Legplates
by JR Cook - 10 years ago show comments
The Draenei, the Monk and the Wardrobe is a recurring installment of World of Warcraft transmogrification tales. Join us as we eye every seam, embroidery, and color scheme down to the last button. Do not be fooled by the title; we will certainly take a look at transmogrifications for all classes and races.
Sometimes you find those rare transmogrification gems. Now, I don’t mean rare as in you-will-never-ever-see-them-drop-rare (Glorious Legplates, cough cough), but rather as in items that you’d easily vendor without a closer look; they are simply not very eye-catching. This post is all about those unassuming pieces of gear.
The story begins in the Underbog.
My monk was hunting bigger and better loot when I happened upon a pair of legplates. I duly previewed them as any good mogger would, giving them barely a glance. But then I chanced a second look, and was amazed. The legplates were… nice. Really nice, in fact. Subdued colors, a unique model, and decidedly an 80’s kind of look.
I was in love.
I’ve built two different transmog sets based solely on these legplates in order to demonstrate how you can put together unique looks with a single piece of gear as inspiration
