Patch 6.0.2: Beat the New Pet Trainer at the Darkmoon Faire

Today the updated version of the Darkmoon Faire
opened up its gates and if you are of the pet battling disposition (which, of course, you are) there is a new pet trainer to face off with!
His name is Christoph VonFeasel and he is a Grand Master Pet Trainer. He is also on a horse. Look at the other pet trainer, and then back at Christoph. Yes, he’s still on a horse. Amazing!
Jeremy Feasel, the unlucky pet trainer without a horse who also happens to be a World of Warcraft Senior Designer, made this comment about the new NPC:

It all makes sense now, huh?
The quest to battle Christoph VonFeasel is called A New Darkmoon Challenger! and it requires you to beat the following pets:
- Otto (beast) with Trample, Feed, Darkmoon Curse
- Syd (aquatic) with Water Jet, Whirlpool, Bubble
- Mr. Pointy (beast) with Horn Gore, Impale, Trihorn Shield
These are the pets and talents I used to beat Mr. VonFeasel:
Syd
Plagued Blood, Death and Decay, and Tail Sweep.
Mr. Pointy
Launch Rocket, (Repair), and Metal Fist.
Otto
Exposed Wounds, Overtune, and Batter.

Thank you for posting this. I tried a ton of the strategies posted in the comments on wowhead and none of them worked for me. Your strat got me closer than all of the others, and I just had to tweak it very slightly in order to finally take them down!
none of those pets work not a one all my pets no matter what i use always die!! must be nice to cheat all the freaking time wish i could cheat like him!!! so done with his worthless cheating a$$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
