The Daily Show Talks NSA in Warcraft

News broke yesterday that the NSA and it’s United Kingdom counterpart had been monitoring communications in video game fixtures Second Life and World of Warcraft, among others. While the information could’ve been met with outrage, the general reaction all across Twitter was more one of amusement. Warcraft players responded with a number of hilarious tweets, marked with the hashtag #ThingsNSAFoundInWoW, started by the clever @clockwork_bells. Here are some of the more hilarious tweets:

Our community wasn’t the only one having a good time with the report, however. The Daily Show weighed in with a hilarious video that cast Aasif Mandvi as a Dwarf Paladin, Greychalk. The video is a great watch, especially as a Warcraft veteran. Despite claiming to be a Dwarf Paladin of Dun Morogh, Greychalk is clearly shown with Priest abilities in the Pandaren starting area known as The Wandering Isle.
It just goes to show, we nerds have a fantastic sense of humor.
