The Grand Finals have come and gone and we here at Blizzpro have a re-cap for you on how it all played out. Recaps contain Spoilers.
Ballistix(Korea) vs Fnatic(EU)
Game 1.
Map:Tomb of the Spider Queen
Bans: E.T.C, Tassadar, Alarak, Johanna
Ballistix Draft: Muradin(Noblesse), Sylvanas(NachoJin), Rehgar(Swoy), Tyrael(Jeongha), Tychus(ScSc)
Fnatic Draft: Zarya(Breez), Valla(Quakniix), Xul(Schwimpi), Leoric(Wubby), Malfurion(SmX)
Muradin gets blown up at 1:02. Xul gets picked off in a team fight in mid at 2:31. Zarya gets killed at 4:04 and loses some gems. Ballistix turns in gems and gets their first Webweaver wave at 5:00. Fnatic turns in and gets their first Webweaver wave at 6:38. Rehgar dies at 7:22 and Fnatic takes out the top fort of Ballistix. Fnatic takes the bad end of a big team fight 3-1 at 8:17 and Ballstix turns in for is 2nd Webweaver wave. Fnatic loses its bottom fort at 9:51. 1 for 2 trade at the 10:56 mark in the favor of Ballistix and Fnatic loses a lot of gems. Fnatic loses its mid fort at 12:26. Ballistix wins a big team fight 3-0 at 13:48. Ballistix takes boss at 14:28 as minions blow up Fnatics top fort. Ballistix turns in for their 3rd Webweaver wave. Leoric dies at 15:34 as Fnatic loses its top keep. Ballstix wins a big team fight at 17:21 and destroys the mid keep then the core for a game 1 win.
Game 2.
Map:Sky Temple
Bans: Illidan, Brightwing ETC Dehaka
Ballistix Draft: Johanna(Noblesse), Falstad(NachoJin), Malfurion(Swoy), Zeratul(Jeongha), Li-Ming(ScSc)
Fnatic Draft: Muradin(Breez), Greyman(Quakniix), Tychus(Schwimpi), Tyrael(Wubby), Rehgar(SmX)
Temples spawn at 1:30 and Fnatic takes control of middle shrine early. Early push tops cause the temple to blow up Fnatic’s top fort. Li-Ming gets blown up at 2:40. Ballistix loses their mid fort at 3:00. Ballistix applies pressure to the lanes in both top and bottom at 4:00. Shrine spawns at 4:25 and Ballistix takes control of it. 4:44 the temple takes out Fnatic’s bottom fort. Fnatic takes the temple at 5:10 then blows up Johanna and the bottom Fort at 5:20. Fnatic starts boss at 5:33 and caps it at 5:50. Fnatic invades Giants at 6:48 but retreats and gives them up. Temples come up at top and bottom at 7:28. A 4 for 3 trade in Ballistix’s favor at 8:22. Ballistix takes control of the bottom shrine and Fnatic loses their bottom fort. Fnatic takes the top temple and Ballistix loses its top fort. A big 3 for 3 team fight breaks out at 10:00 then shortly after at 10:48 Fnatic loses two more members in a fight. Ballistix takes the boss at 11:25 and pushes bottom lane with it.Muradin gets deleted at 12:18 and Fnatic loses their bottom keep. Fnatic loses a team fight 3 to 1 and Ballistix pushes core for the win in game 2
Game 3.
Map:Warhead Junction
Bans: Muradin, Illidan, Malfurion, Dehaka
Ballistix Draft: E.T.C(Noblesse), Li-Ming(NachoJin), Rehgar(Swoy), Zeratul(Jeongha), Chen(ScSc)
Fnatic Draft: Tyrael(Breez), Falstad(Quakniix), Tracer(Schwimpi), Tassadar(Wubby), Brightwing(SmX)
Brightwing overextends and gets blown up at 1:52. Fnatic takes one warhead at 2:18. Fnatic takes second nuke and drops the first one on the mid wall at 2:57. Zeratul dies at 4:05 after getting caught out. Chen gets caught out at 5:03 then Fnatic drops the nuke on the wall and fort on top. 4 warheads spawn at 5:47 Each team gets one nuke at 5:57. Tassadar gets blow up at 6:22 but gets one of the nukes and Ballistix takes the other. Ballistix drops one nuke on the mid. Falstad dies at 7:29 and loses a nuke. Ballistix pushes bottom and uses one of their nukes on the fort. Fnatic loses their bottom fort at 9:03. 9:32 Ballistix takes a nuke. 1 for trade at 9:51 as they fight over the last nuke. Ballistix uses a nuke on top fort at 10:09. Fnatic wins a 2-0 team fight and takes a nuke at 10:52. Fnatic tries to take boss and a giant team fight breaks out with both teams using all of their nukes. Ballistix wins the team fight 4 to 5 but manages to cap the boss which takes the top fort at 12:46. 4 warheads spawn at 14:00 and Chen is taken out isolated due to force wall. Fnatic takes out two in bottom and picks up 3 out 4 nukes. at 14:37 They launch all three nukes at top keep and blow it up and manages to disengage safely. Fnatic attempts boss at 16:27 and a big team fight breaks out. Ballistix wins a team fight 2-0, Then Tracer chases down 2 members of Ballistix but Ballistix turns it around and wipws all of Fnatic at 17:49 as nukes spawn. They fire one of their 3 nukes at the mid fort at 18:27. Fnatic starts boss at 19:01 but they back off as a team fight breaks out and they disengage with Gust. Fnatic loses its top fort at 19:52 as a team fight breaks out. E.T.C. goes down to polymorph at 20:37. Ballistix fires two nukes at Fnatic but they evade at 20:59. Fnatic starts boss at 21:32 and another team fight breaks out. Fnatic wins the team fight 5 to 1 at 22:53. Fnatic fires off their nukes at the core and takes the game.
Game 4.
Map: Towers of Doom
Bans: Medivh, Tychus, Tyrael, Zeratul
Ballistix Draft: Muradin(Noblesse), Li-Ming(NachoJin), Brightwing(Swoy), Tassadar(Jeongha), Tracer(ScSc)
Fnatic Draft: E.T.C.(Breez), Falstad(Quakniix), Sgt. Hammer(Schwimpi), Stitches(Wubby), Malfurion(SmX)
Falstad gets blown up at the :29 second mark. Brightwing dies to Stitches hook at 1:11 Shrines spawn at 1:45 and both teams battle over the bottom one. Malfurion dies at 2:44 and Ballistix takes the bottom shrine for a 36-32 lead. Ballistix wins a team fight 2-0 at 4:32. Ballistix takes one of the shrines at 4:57 along with a 32-28 lead. Fnatic loses bottom fort at 6:45. A Shrine spawn at 7:29. E.T.C dies at 7:39 and Ballistix takes the tower and a 32-23 lead. A 1 for 1 team fight happens at 9:31. Stitches gets blown up at 11:02 and the temple is taken for a 32-10 Ballistix lead. Ballistix takes boss at 11:42 for a 32-6 lead. 3 towers spawn at 13:30. Ballistix wins a team fight 4 to 1 and channels the final shrine to win the Blizzcon 2016 Championship.
