Books have often been society’s only bastion of light for passing along knowledge that would otherwise be lost to time or convoluted by the oral tradition. We will regularly feature a Legendary weapon or armor piece, discussing its stand-alone powers and capabilities, as well as how it may synergize with new builds or other item

This week on Ars Arcanum we will be going over a popular Wizard item, The Swami. This item has been a staple in every Wizard player’s Cube this season and were going to take a look at why it’s so popular.

Why is it good?

The Swami isn’t an item that you equip on your character since you need to have the Vyrs six piece set bonus, but it definitely fits very nicely into the Kanai’s Cube. It’s got great synergy with the Archon build that’s being used to top the Wizard leader-boards, since it allows you to keep the bonuses of Archon stacks for 20 seconds after Archon expires. Lets take a look at the Vyrs set bonuses.

Vyr’s Amazing Arcana

• (2) Set:
• Archon gains the effect of every rune.
• (4) Set:
• Archon stacks also increase your Attack Speed, Armor and Resistances by 1%.
• (6) Set:
• You also gain Archon stacks when you hit with an Archon ability

When ever you use abilities and kill enemies, you get Archon stacks which increase your Attack Speed, Armor, and Resistances by 1% per stack. Depending on how many stacks you get, it all carries over for 20 seconds to give you an extended boost to survivability and damage. More buffs always come in handy when pushing high end content, which makes this helmet very hard to pass up.
