Books have often been society’s only bastion of light for passing along knowledge that would otherwise be lost to time or convoluted by the oral tradition. We will regularly feature a Legendary weapon or armor piece, discussing its stand-alone powers and capabilities, as well as how it may synergize with new builds or other item

This week we will be going over the new wizard belt, Fazula’s Improbable Chain. This belt is right in the center of the new and improved Archon build that came with Season 4. So let’s take a look at why this belt goes so well with this build.

Why is it good?

Fazula’s Improbable Chain has great synergy with the reworked Vyr’s set, as it starts you off with 15-20 Archon stacks when entering Archon form. Archon stacks are important as they give you a number of buffs to damage and survivability. Let’s take a look at the Vyr’s set and see how beneficial the Archon stacks are.

• Archon gains the effect of every rune.
• (4) Set:
• Archon stacks also increase your Attack Speed, Armor and Resistances by 1%.
• (6) Set:
• You also gain Archon stacks when you hit with an Archon ability.

A long with the 6% damage increase per stack, you get 1% Attack Speed, Armor, and Resistance. Stacks are gained whenever you kill an enemy or hit with an archon ability. So starting with 15-20 stacks right off the bat is very efficient since that’s an automatic 90-120% damage increase with 15-20% more Attack Speed, Armor, and Resistance.

All in all, this belt just makes life easier if you’re an Archon Wizard since you will be able to efficiently build up stacks to increase your damage and survivabilty. Which really comes in handy when pushing higher difficulty content.

Who is it good for?

Since this belt only effects a Wizard skill, it is only useful for that class.

Where can I find it?

Fazula’s Improbable Chain is a Season 4 exclusive item so it can only be found when playing a normal seasonal character or a hardcore seasonal character.
