Every week the pros from team Fade2Karma break down the “Deck of the Week” . These decks are seeing a lot of play either in constructed ladder or tournaments. Team F2K explain the deck lists and how to play them. View past Deck Lists of the Week.
Introduction
The Grimm Patron Deck has come up after the 2nd hearthstone adventure, Black Rock Mountain, and has always been a very strong part of the meta. With its strong card draw mechanic, it’s very consistent and you don’t lose games immediately after some unfortunate RNG effects – there’s a huge comeback potential.
The Game Plan
- Put down some small defensive minions and remove your opponent’s small minions with your weapons.
- Draw as much cards as possible with Acolyte of Pain and Battle Rage.
- Win the game with :
a) 4 Patrons at turn 5 (Death’s Bite + Inner Rage)
b) 4 or more patrons at turn 6 or later
c) A full board of charged patrons (=18 dmg + 2dmg for each Inner Rage)
d) 1 or 2 charged frothing berserkers in combination with Whirlwind or/and Unstable Ghoul
e) A combination of Patrons and Frothing Berserkers enabled by Emperor Thaurissan

Finishing Word
I think the Grimm Patron Warrior is a skill-based Deck. And if you really know how to play it, you can reach some incredible win rates and climb to the top of the ladder. But if you look on the overall win rate of this deck of all players, it’s only around 50%.
