Diablo 3 Guide: How to Activate Elective Mode
by JR Cook - 10 years ago show comments
Welcome Back to BlizzPro. I’m Dannie “Indigo” Ray, and today we will talk about Elective Mode.
When new players want to use the great builds we feature here at BlizzPro, they can run into a bit of a problem.
Sometimes they just can’t select all the skills that we suggest, they just won’t go together on their interface. If you are having this problem, you need to activate Elective Mode.
Activating Elective Mode
As you level up, you’ve seen that each one of your 6 skill buttons is tied to a certain “tab” of skills. Here we can take a look at the Wizard’s Conjuration tab.
But what if you don’t like any of those skills? Maybe you want to use 2 skills from the Defensive tab instead. Well, you are in luck as that’s exactly what we are going to do.
First of all, open your menu by pressing the ESC key.
Now our menu is open. Hit options, and then go to the gameplay tab.
From here we can activate elective mode, mark it up and hit accept.
Try to assign your skills again, you will now see something like this:
You can now use those arrows to shift between tabs, and you will be able to use ANY skill you want. Now you have all the tools at your disposal to completely mimic all the great builds that we offer weekly. Hey, you might even improve them. If that is the case, be sure to let me know at @DannieRay23 on twitter.
That’s all for today, I Hope you enjoyed this guide! Keep coming back to BlizzPro for a lot of interesting Diablo content.
