BlizzCon Virtual Goodies Revealed

by - 10 years ago

The BlizzCon virtual goodies have been revealed and this year has some interesting ones. These rewards will be given to the attendees of BlizzCon and also those who buy the BlizzCon Virtual Ticket as well.

First off we have Murkalot – the Crusader Murloc pet in World of Warcraft. It wouldn’t be a BlizzCon without a Murloc themed virtual item in WoW.

In StarCraft 2 we have the Tearin’ Stitches and Stitches’ Hook. This is a new portrait and decal you can use in StarCraft 2. I find this selection to be rather interesting because it makes me wonder why Stitches of all WoW related things would be picked for StarCraft 2. Is it possible this is a hint at the next WoW expansion or is it possible he will be a playable character in the upcoming Blizzard All Stars?

Next we have the BlizzCon 2013 Diablo 3 banner. Nothing too special here other than it’s a pretty cool banner to have displayed to other characters when you play Diablo 3.

Last, but certainly not least, and probably the most interesting of them all is a Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft card. This is shown as a mystery minion and has the legendary skin on it. This makes me wonder, will we see a brand new card that only people who attend BlizzCon or purchase the Virtual Ticket will get? I find it doubtful as Blizzard has been pretty adamant that you can unlock every single card in Hearthstone without having to buy anything. This is either an already existing card with a new skin or a golden version of a card that will have the normal version be craftable to everyone much like the Gelbin Mekkatorque you can get by purchasing something during closed beta.

If you haven’t yet, I will say the BlizzCon Virtual Ticket is a pretty awesome deal, not only will you get these cool virtual rewards but it is honestly the best way to watch BlizzCon. Going to BlizzCon is really awesome and the atmosphere is great, but if you’re interested in listening to the panels and taking it all in – you can’t beat being able to rewind, pause, and watch ALL the content that is impossible to do at the event itself. Plus you can do it with no pants on, which I’ve heard is unacceptable to do at BlizzCon itself.
