European Hearthstone World Championship Qualifier at Dreamhack Stockholm

by - 10 years ago

While we were busy criticizing Blizzard for their lack of forthcoming and timely information regarding this whole BlizzCon World Championship affair, they were busy getting on it before they even knew of our complaints. So, kudos! A certain void felt like it was opening up between the closed doors of the tournament purveyors and both spectator and player alike. Today, though, we have this excellent write up to steer the ship back on course and deliver information on the exciting European Qualifiers taking place in conjunction with Dreamhack Stockholm this weekend. Read on to learn more below:

The 2014 European Hearthstone Qualifier Tournament takes place at DreamHack Stockholm later this month, and sixteen of the world’s best players are preparing to do battle.

The top four card-slingers from the tournament will go on to represent Europe at BlizzCon in the Hearthstone World Championship, where they’ll compete for a share of the biggest Hearthstone prize pool to date —$250,000!

The action gets underway on September 24 at the Monster Energy DreamHack Studios, before continuing  in Stockholm at the Ericsson Globe—the biggest hemispherical building in the world—on September 26 and 27.

With an epic location as the backdrop, some of the best players in the world showing off their skills, and nothing but Blizzard games played on the final day of the event, DreamHack Stockholm 2014 is sure to be an amazing show!

You can find more information about the European Hearthstone Qualifier Tournament—sponsored by Razer—on the official DreamHack website here.
