In this column, we like to feature a very different side of Hearthstone and the Hearthstone player community. We search the web for user created content inspired by Hearthstone, and share it with you whenever we can.
The game that has taken the PC gamer community by storm was very quickly embraced by mobile gamers looking to play it on the iPad. Imagine for a moment if Hearthstone had been released twenty years ago as a child of the 90s. In this “what if” scenario, Hearthstone might have been a massive success on the Gameboy.
What would this have looked like?
The creators of gameboydemakes.tumblr.com did just that and created their own version of a Hearthstone UI for this Nintendo gaming device. It almost makes me want to dig out my old Gameboy.
Speaking of different UIs for Hearthstone, Dactylion went so far as creating an entire board game by crafting individually printed cards and using a game board with blue marbles for mana crystals. It is the ultimate Hearthstone experience for when your battery dies, or when you find yourself deep in the wilderness without WiFi.
