In today’s reveal stream, Team Bro9 (streamer Sean “Day[9]” Plott and Game Designer Ben Brode) played four show matches against “Realz”.

First up was Spell Hunter vs Demon Warlock. Rhok’delar

was revealed which plays into Spell Hunter synergy filling up the hand with Hunter spells. Also a few new other cards were revealed with the most interesting being Dark Pact, a 1-mana spell that destroys a friendly minion and heals for 8.

Second, Recruit Control Warrior faced off against Totem Shaman which brought less excitement. Recruit performed ok, but i did not convince. Next up, Five-or-more Spell Mage was confronted by Four-or-less Zoo Druid. It was a game of Wonders as Day9 played two Book of Wonders

early.

In the final game, Lynessa Quest Paladin beat the s#?@ out of Weapon Rogue. It has to be shown if holds up to the stream. We were already once disappointed by that archetype not delivering in real life. In that last game, The Darkness made its appearance, a 4-man 20/20 (!), which puts 3 Ambush-like cards in the opponent’s deck which have to be drawn into to awake the minion. Kingslayer looked promising with a new 2-mana 3/1 minion that is able to fish a weapon from the deck.

After those friendly matches, we saw the first ever public Dungeon. The first three bosses were a warm up. Then they faced the first difficult one: A.F. Kay – which she literally was – doing nothing to stop a fourth win. Game five was won too, but in the sixth, things started to get difficult and 75 Health.
