BlizzCon Goodies Coming Soon (no TM)

by - 9 years ago

Yesterday many members of the community were pleasantly surprised to open their email and find an email from Blizzard waiting for them. This email contained a code which provided access to the digital goodies associated with the purchase of their BlizzCon ticket. While Blizzard hasn’t officially announced what all this code will give us, we can make some guesses based on previous years.

One item we can be reasonably confident about which HAS been announced is the World of Warcraft pet: Murkidan. The WoW BlizzCon pet is generally some sort of murloc themed to represent one of Blizzard’s major games and this year appears to be no different with the impending release of World of Warcraft: Legion. This time around Murky looks like Illidan and you can check it out here.

There will probably be some sort of card back for Hearthstone, banners for Diablo III characters, profile portraits for Starcraft II, and some sort of in-game item for Heroes of the Storm. None of these items have been confirmed yet so we’ll just have to wait and see. We may also get Beta access to one or more of Blizzard’s upcoming titles since Overwatch and Legion both have their testing cycles coming up in the near-ish future.

On top of the digital items, Michele Morrow received her physical goodie bag early and gave us an unboxing video on YouTube so we could see all the cool stuff coming when attendees pick their badges up at the convention.

On top of the digital items, attendees will also walk away with a Murkidan pin (the physical counterpart to the Warcraft in-game pet AND addition to Blizzard’s pin-trading activity), a Hearthstone luggage tag, an inflatable Starcraft II psi-blade, what appears to be an Overwatch drink coaster, a Diablo III keychain, a Heroes of the Storm Funko Pop! mystery figure, and a BlizzCon messenger bag to put them all in.

I’ll throw in the usual caveat that some of the above is pure speculation based on previous years, and Blizzard has every right to change what they want up until the convention actually starts so nothing is confirmed until the item is actually in your hands…but as usual it sounds like some pretty cool stuff.

Let us know what you’re looking forward to the most in the comments or on Twitter.
