Blizzard and Twitch Partner Up, Players Get Free Stuff

by - 7 years ago

Blizzard and Twitch announced today that they have made a two-year deal in which Twitch will broadcast “select Blizzard esports content including the Hearthstone Global Games, the Hearthstone Championship Tour, and major events in other Blizzard games.

The announcement also states that Twitch Prime subscribers (which, by the way, is anybody who has Amazon Prime) will receive 11 free Overwatch Loot Boxes “over the coming months” and that at least the first Loot Box, available now, will offer a Legendary item. Check out the post on our Overwatch page for more details on how to claim your goodies and how to use your Twitch Prime subscription to help Blizzpro continue to bring you great content on all Blizzard games.

The announcement also states that some sort of unspecified Hearthstone swag should be coming our way soon. Readers might recall that this will not be the first time that Hearthstone has benefited from Twitch deals, as Blizzard made the Tyrande alternative Priest hero available in this way back in Fall 2016 (though, unfortunately, that promotion has since expired). Will we get another hero? Some packs? Free cards? Comment below with what type of Hearthstone loot you’d like to see. Maybe if there’s enough of us we can bend enough ears to make it happen and maybe this time my brother-in-law won’t steal my code, Andy.
