Greenwall and Large Guild Management

Those of you not familiar with Greenwall, it is an addon that allows two or more guilds to combine their /gchat together into one large group. This is a great tool for larger guilds to stay in contact even if they go above the 1000 guild member cap. It is also useful for smaller guilds who just have other bank or alt guilds. Before connected realms it could only be used for communications between guilds of the same faction and realm. Quite by accident I recently discovered that the Greenwall addon could actually work between guilds on different servers (within connected realms).
Since the initiation of connected realms there hasn’t been much experimentation done to see if it was possible to now include guilds from the connected realms. I decided to try it out what I got was mixed results. I found that I could not currently talk between Twisted Dynasty-Kul Tiras and Twisted Dynasty-Bladefist. I did notice that I was now able to see when members on the other guild logged in. This led to further discoveries. I was able to successful talk between Twisted Dynasty-Bladefist and Twisted Raiders-Kul Tiras.
I reached out to the great people working on the Greenwall app. They were surprised, to find out that the addon could work between realms within the connected realm group. Greenwall uses custom chat channels to create its confederations for /gchat. When asked about custom chat channels being available cross realm (inside connected realms) Blizzard had this to say.

Regarding Connected Realms, the only noticeable difference you should expect to see is the realm-name being attached to the nickname of anyone who doesn’t belong to your own realm. The whole experience should feel seamless.
Not being connected to any other realm should not affect you in any negative way, on the contrary, we expect everything to simply be… better
Greenwall is currently working on the issue that prevents guilds that have the same name from communicating with each other. If they can resolve this issue it would make it easy to find a guild that is sanctioned by a certain guild. Instead of just having names that go together they could actually be the same. So instead of 950 guldies being in the Twisted Dynasty guild, and 550 in the Twisted Reality guild, they could be in Twisted Dynasty-Kull Tiras and Twisted Dynasty-Bladefist.
