Who's Calling The Shots?

by Alebeard on

A Shot Caller is the person in charge of callingww the plays for their team. They decide when their team engages, when they take a mercenary camp, when they defend, and when they push. Whether they know it or not, every team has a Shot Caller. On competitive teams, it is easy to know who the Shot Caller is. It is a clearly defined role that someone is specifically assigned to. Everyone knows who is calling the plays, and the other players are conditioned to react to those calls. On many teams it is the Tank who calls the shots, but on other teams it might be the Support player or a Carry. Who calls the shots isn’t as important as the fact that everyone acknowledges who the Shot Caller is, and follows their direction. Even when you play with your friends, it isn’t hard to figure out who the ...

Brightpaw Raises $1.7 Million

by pallimmanis on

In a truly massive outpouring of generosity Blizzard and the World of Warcraft community have become known for, Blizzard announced today that the most recent Make-A-Wish® Charity Pet, Brightpaw, raised $1.7 Million to aid the charity in their efforts around the world. With the addition of Brightpaw, this brings the total donations made from player pet purchases to over $10.7 million dollars. This doesn’t include donations from items like the old server blades auctioned off via eBay several years ago ($330,000) and through purchases of the BlizzCon Charity Dinner tickets. Rehgar Build: Ride the Lightning

by balrogfanbp on

Rehgar recently saw a huge upgrade and a spike in win rate. He has always been one of my favorite supports to play and to see him rocket back into relevance is exciting for me. I want to share the build that seems to be the winner at the moment but I will say that you have plenty of options with Rehgar right now and I dont see many dead talent choices in his kit. If you want to read up on the basics of Rehgar you can check out his hero page here Basic Abilities  Rehgar’s trait is Ghost Wolf(Z) which allows Rehgar to turn into a wolf instead of mounting. While he moves 10% slower than mounted characters he does not break form when struck. This allows Rehgar some great mobility for escapes and chase downs. Rehgar also gains 100% extra damage to his next basic attack while he ...

Patch Notes: Patch 3.1.0

by JR Cook on

Patch 3.1.0 has been released today and with it some free (and some not so free) PVE content. As far as the free content goes, Karax is now an available commander and the new co-op map Lock and Load has been released. On the not so free side, the Nova covert ops missions are now available for pre-purchase and are expected to release spring 2016. Other changes to the patch include a ton of updates to the chat system and some changes to the editor. You can read the full notes below:...

It’s been a month now since Legacy of the Void has released, and it looks like Tuesday we’ll be getting our first patch with some content added into it. A new commander named Karax will be available – his abilities being unlimited orbital strikes and being able to build stationary defenses (canon rush!). The new mission is called Lock and Load. Not many details were given exactly how the mission will play out, but it’s been described as a harder mission than the others and will require a lot of cooperation to complete – where as other maps you could heavily rely on one player or the other to do the heavy lifting. It’s cool to see that the StarCraft team is dedicated to producing PVE content in Starcraft 2 after launch and with the new Nova missions arriving next year, now is probably one of the best times to ...
